Anouar Majid's latest book, We Are All Moors: Ending Centuries of Crusades Against Muslims and Other Minorities, was reviewed by Kevin Brown in the Times Literary Supplement Nov. 6, 2009. Brown writes that Majid has "a twofold objective. In his role as an American public intellectual, he wants to use scholarship to elucidate those glories of Muslim cultures concealed by past prejudices. As a Muslim intellectual, he wants Muslims not to ignore their own traditions of dissent. ... This wide-ranging book is the journal of an intellectual itinerary." Majid is director of 91AV's Center for Global Humanities and professor of English and language studies.
