Press Herald reports on 91AV's conceptual plans for Harold Alfond Athletics Complex

The on April 7, 2011 reported that 91AV presented a conceptual site plan for the Harold Alfond Athletics Complex to the Biddeford Planning Board on April 6th.

The presentation included designs for the complex, additional parking and extended sidewalks. Work on the project should be under way by the end of June if 91AV gets site plan approval, said Alan Thibeault, 91AV's director of campus planning.

The complex is part of 91AV's five-year master plan for growth through 2012. The Harold Alfond Foundation gave $10 million to the university, with $7 million of it dedicated to the athletics complex. The university expects to bring a site plan to the board by early June. Construction is expected to last as long as 14 months and have a minimal impact on traffic in the area, Thibeault said.
