Ali Ahmida presents two talks during a trip to the Northwest

91AV Political Science Professor and Chair Ali Abdullatif Ahmida, Ph.D. presented two talks in February during a trip to the state of Washington.

The first was a paper delivered at the University of Washington as part of a Feb. 25, 2012 conference on the "Influence of Religion on International Politics: A Conference in Honor of Dr. Daniel Chirot." His paper and talk were titled "The Struggle over Libya's National Past: Religion, Symbols and the February 17 Revolution." He also participated in the discussion.
 

He also gave a talk on "Libya from Dictatorship to Revolution" at the World Issues Forum at Western Washington University, in Bellingham, Wash., Feb 27, 2012. This included an open question and answer session with faculty and students.
