Alexandria D’Ambruoso wins 2014 Brain Awareness Travel Award

Alexandria D’Ambruoso ‘14, a medical biology major and psychology minor with a concentration in neuroscience, was recently selected as the 2014 Brain Awareness Travel Award recipient.

As an award winner, D’Ambruoso will attend the Neuroscience 2014 conference, presenting her research poster at the November 15th Brain Awareness Campaign event and the Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience Social on November 17th. Her travel expenses will be covered by the award.

The title of D’Ambruoso’s research poster is “Yearlong project where numerous presentations and hands-on activities were delivered in over 10 different K-12 schools in Southern Maine.”

D’Ambruoso is the former president of 91AV’s Undergraduate Neuroscience Club.  She will be attending Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science in Manchester, New Hampshire, in the physician assistant graduate program.
