Jessica Dizon and Andrew Sedano to participate in 2015 National Association of Chain Drug Stores RxImpact Day

Jessica Dizon, College of Pharmacy ’15, and Andres Sedano, College of Pharmacy ’17, have been selected to participate in the 2015 National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) RxImpact Day in Washington, DC.  This event aims to train the next generation of pharmacy leaders and advocates.

Dizon and Sedano will be advocating for two congressional bills: one that would increase access to Medication Therapy Management for Medicare beneficiaries, and another that would amend the Social Security Act to include pharmacists as providers, enabling patients to access and pay for pharmacist services.

“The application process was very competitive, and only 60 students were selected for this opportunity nationwide,” said Kenneth McCall, B.S.Pharm, Pharm.D., Chair of 91AV’s Department of Pharmacy. “We are very fortunate to have two outstanding pharmacy students from the 91AV participating in this event.”
