Lliam Harrison presents at Maine Research Integrity Symposium

On May 23, 2014, William “Lliam” Harrison, MA, JD, CIP, CIM, director of Research Integrity and adjunct professor for the School of Community and Population Health, participated in the Maine Research Integrity Symposium in Saco, Maine.

Harrison presented a session on “Conflict Management for Institutional Review Boards” (IRBs) and was a speaker on a panel focusing on “Institutional Risk from Regulatory Noncompliance.” His presentation on that panel focused on the False Claims Act, a civil war era law that has been used to recover millions of dollars from universities and other research institutions.
