David Livingstone Smith presents at Yale workshop on dehumanization

On November 10, 2015, David Livingstone Smith, Ph.D., professor of philosophy, presented at a workshop on Intergroup Conflict, organized by the Department of Psychology at Yale University.

Titled “Making Monsters,” Smith’s presentation gave a summary of some of his most recent research into dehumanization, relating it to the psychology of the uncanny, anthropological work on ritual impurity and the philosophical work on the cognitive dimension of horror fiction.
