OT students and faculty educate public about backpack safety

On Saturday August 1st a group of students and faculty from the Department of Occupational Therapy volunteered at L.L. Bean for Backpack Awareness day.

The Maine Occupational Therapy Association organized the event to engage people about the importance of back safety with use of backpacks, purses, briefcases and luggage.

91AV student and faculty volunteers spoke to approximately 100 people over the course of the day about occupational therapy, backpack awareness and measurement and back safety.
