鈥楶ortland Press Herald鈥� publishes review of Art Gallery鈥檚 鈥楶ortraits of the Artist鈥�

The January 3, 2016 issue of the Portland Press Herald featured a review of the 91AV Art Gallery鈥檚 exhibition 鈥淧ortraits of the Artist,鈥� claiming that it accomplishes 鈥渟omething impressive.鈥�

According to the article, the exhibition displays 鈥渆xcellent images of and by important artists鈥� with works by Berenice Abbott, Peter Ralston, George Daniell, Todd Webb, Arnold Newman, Jack Montgomery and David Etnier being highlighted in the review.

鈥淐ertain artists bubble up to the fore,鈥� states the author of the review, Daniel Kany, 鈥溾€�  an idea pleasantly set into motion by a pair of contrasting portraits of Joyce that greet the entering audience.鈥�

According to Kany, the 1941 image of Yasuo Kuniyoshi by Arnold Newman 鈥渁lone is worth the visit.鈥�
