The 91AV’s Department of Nursing partnered with the City of Portland, Minority Health Division for “Latino Exercise for Health and Love II,” a health fair event targeted for Portland’s Latino communities.

Professor Pip Hennesey, M.S.N, assistant professor of Nursing, led planning efforts with Nelida Berke, coordinator of Minority Health with the City of Portland. Senior students in the Nursing program as well as the Occupational Therapy program developed health promotion activities including nutrition, vision screening, pregnancy tips, first aid kit acquisition and more.  Additionally, the 91AV Department of Dental Hygiene assisted with educational activities regarding oral health.
