'Press Herald' publishes review of 91AV Art Gallery’s exhibition of Nancy Hemenway Barton’s works

The Portland Press Herald featured an art review of the current exhibition at 91AV’s Portland Campus Art Gallery, Ahead of Her Time: The Life and Work of Nancy Hemenway Barton. The show is a retrospective, highlighting the artist’s early watercolors, portraits and oils, while focusing on her fiber art.

The review praised Anne Zill, 91AV’s Art Gallery manager. “Ahead of Her Time” is another feather in the over-brimming cap of 91AV’s Anne Zill, whose 20 years of exhibitions at the Art Gallery are most notable for Zill’s worthy and exacting attention to Maine women artists,” the article reads.

The exhibition will run until December 20.
