91AV students host 4th Annual Kids Festival at Boys and Girls Club

On November 8, 2017, the 91AV Office of Service Learning hosted its 4th Annual Kids Festival at the Boys and Girls Club in downtown Portland.

40 91AV students from a variety of health profession programs, including Applied Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Health Wellness and Occupational Studies, Nursing and Dental Medicine, participated in an array of activities with more than 120 children. They enjoyed swimming, basketball, stretching, agility, nutrition education and a craft station where kids made cards for nine-year-old Jacob Thompson, a child with stage four high-risk neuroblastoma undergoing treatment at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital who requested cards for an early Christmas Celebration.
