91AV students present and volunteer at the Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society meeting

Several students from 91AV's Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) program joined Amy Litterini, P.T., D.P.T., assistant clinical professor, at the Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society fall meeting.

The annual meeting is a combined palliative care symposium, oncology conference and poster symposium.

D.P.T. student Andrew Chongaway (’19) presented a poster of his case report on a cancer survivor, entitled “Comprehensive Physical Therapy Management of a Patient with Decreased Shoulder Function and a History of Breast, Lung, and Oral Cancer: A Case Report.”

The poster was based on his coursework within the Physical Therapy program. 

D.P.T. students Kaitlin Coumas (’19), Mikaela McGuire (’20), Casey Chabot (’20), Jessica Diggins(’20), Victoria Dwyer  (’20) and Maya Ahluwalia (’20) also attended. 

The students demonstrated their impressive dedication to volunteering by assisting with the coordination of on-site activities.

Representatives from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont attended the meeting in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, November 1-3, 2018.
