Sean Ramey, M.F.A., associate lecturer in the Department of English, has taken on the role of Oberon, King of the Fairies, in the Fenix Theatre Company’s production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 

The classic summer comedy is being performed in the round, under a tree canopy, in Deering Oaks Park in Portland through August 10.

The production received a highly favorable review in the . The article describes Ramey’s Oberon as “the most sinister, if ultimately redeemed, character.”

Ramey teaches Shakespeare, Speech Communication and more at 91AV. He is a member of the Equity Actor’s Association and can occasionally be found performing in area plays.
